Clinician-Led Veterinary Orthotics & Prosthetics

World-class devices, guided by licensed prosthetic-orthotic expertise

Veterinary orthotics and prosthetics have changed. High-quality devices based on proven designs are now more accessible than ever to qualified clinicians. As fabrication has expanded, outcomes are increasingly determined not by the device itself—but by who is qualified to guide candidacy, device selection, application, adjustment, and long-term use.

ExoPets exists to provide that guidance.

Led by Danielle Robins, MSOP, LCPO

Danielle Robins is a board-certified and licensed prosthetist-orthotist and the founder and former sole clinician of OrthoPaws. The clinician-led model many veterinarians came to trust through OrthoPaws now continues as an independent entity through ExoPets.

Danielle maintains a longstanding professional relationship with Dr. Martin Kaufmann, whose legacy designs form the foundation of many modern veterinary orthotic and prosthetic devices.

What ExoPets Provides

Devices don’t succeed without education and clinical oversight. ExoPets offers flexible levels of involvement, depending on the needs of the veterinarian and the case:

  • Full device-inclusive case management when cases are initiated through ExoPets
  • Independent clinical oversight for cases already fabricated elsewhere, when appropriate
  • Guidance for casting, fitting, troubleshooting, and adjustments
  • Pre-surgical and pre-amputation consultation
  • Ongoing education and continuity of care

Adjustments are common in veterinary orthotics and prosthetics. Having a licensed prosthetist-orthotist guiding these decisions matters—for the patient, the veterinarian, and the advancement of the field.

Continuity of Care Beyond Initial Fabrication

Because devices and case management are no longer inherently bundled, there is now a growing population of patients with existing devices who require ongoing clinical guidance.

ExoPets is proud to offer continuity of care, clinical oversight, and case-management support for veterinarians and patients who need it—including cases originally fabricated by other companies, when applicable.

Clinical responsibility does not end at delivery.

The Takeaway

High-quality devices are no longer the limiting factor in veterinary orthotics and prosthetics. Qualified clinical leadership is.

ExoPets provides the same trusted devices veterinarians are accustomed to—guided by the licensed prosthetist-orthotist who helped define how those devices were used in practice to begin with.

“I highly recommend Exopets for anyone looking for high quality custom orthotics for their patients. I have been practicing animal rehabilitation for nine years and have fitted hundreds of orthotics, primarily through Orthopets. When I needed a new orthotics provider, I was lucky to connect with Danielle at Exopets.

After trying several other companies, it became clear that none matched the level of device quality or orthotics expertise that Danielle provides. Her extensive training and knowledge as a veterinary orthotist are invaluable when managing cases. Whether it's making recommendations for adjustments or making sure a dog is an appropriate candidate for a brace, Danielle is always available to provide her specific insights and knowledge.

The Exopets orthotics offer the same high level of quality and function as Orthopets devices, with the added benefit of a quick turnaround time. I feel completely confident recommending orthotics to my patients knowing Danielle will support us through any adjustments or challenges that come up.”
